Scots Pine styled as a Scots Pine

This rather scruffy Scots Pine was collected locally about 4 years ago from a forest plantation. Well established in the pot, I decided to give it some attention at the weekend. The tree wasn't needle plucked as I want it to be strong for further back budding, so only the main branches were wired. I wanted to find in this tree. an image of an old Scottie in the wild. Rather than a more traditional bonsai look. This work took about 4 hours
Heres the first styling. Eventually I want to give the foliage some separation, building up about 4 or five layers in the pads. This will be easier as it ramifies and the wiring will go all the way to the tips.
